Spiffy
About Spiffy

Built in South Africa, for South African creators.

Spiffy gives creators one link for their page, their shop and a checkout in rands, built on African payment technology rather than tools that were never designed for us.

Why we exist

The creator economy here is growing fast

More South Africans are earning from what they make: music, art, courses, templates and coaching. Spiffy is built to help them grow with it, and to keep more of what they earn at home.

The problem we solve

Global payment giants weren’t built for South African sellers

The best-known creator tools run on Stripe and PayPal. They’re powerful, but they don’t work for a South African creator selling to South African fans in rands.

Stripe

Not available to South African-registered businesses.

PayPal

Doesn’t accept rands, so local fans can’t pay the way they normally do.

Spiffy with Paystack

Rand checkout with local cards and banks, and sales split straight to the creator’s South African bank account.

Our approach

African technology, built by Africans for Africans

Spiffy runs on Paystack, the payments platform founded in Lagos in 2015 by Shola Akinlade and Ezra Olubi to solve payments for African businesses, and live in South Africa since 2021. Every sale on Spiffy is processed in rands and split automatically: the creator’s share goes to their bank, and Spiffy’s small fee is taken at checkout.
